Below you will see the initial iteration of a resource map that includes 170 art supply stores, second hand building material warehouses, book shops, quirky museums, and many other places of interest, including inspirational environments such as the Kim Quang Temple of Sacramento where you can find gardens and sculpture works such as this dragon head.
Many places on the map offer multiple experiences, such as Sparrow 5 of Roseville, where owner M not only stocks her store with unique and innovative art and vintage pieces, she also offers a number of classes in the on site studio, including a workshop on art journals.
To the best of my ability, I have loosely identified each location with appropriate icons. Clicking on the icon to the left of the map’s title will drop down the list of locations in its totality to date. Clicking on any location on that list will give you images and further information.
